Use a library sewing machine & get a license to “drive” it! Grades 6-12 are invited to attend; registration is required.
Registration for afterschool programs opens the Friday before. For example, programs the week of May 12 open for registration on May 9.
Drawing from Japan’s iconic “furoshiki” knotting, this project is one of refined simplicity. The reversible bag is very versatile & can be used for travel … or for craft projects, lunches, eco-friendly gift wrapping, & more. Supply list provided with registration confirmation; some supplies provided.
This is a beginner-level project requiring the ability to sew curves & is recommended for those ages 12+. Those not yet in high school should attend with an adult. (Brand new? Let us know you’d like an Introduction to Sewing 1:1 before your program date by emailing Shauna at swanteks@yourmdl.org or calling 269.781.7821 x1800.)
