We the undersigned Elders of the first Presbyterian Church and Society of Homer do hereby certify that the following is a true copy of a notice given & published for three successive Sabaths [sic] at the usual place of Public Worship previous to the time of meeting therein named, which was more than fifteen days from the time of issuing: to wit “There will be a meeting of the 1st Presbyterian Church & Society of Homer on Monday the 10th day of May at 2 o clock P.M. for the purpose of organizing according to the Statute Law & for electing nine Trustees to act for said Society. HH Northrup Pastor”

We further certify that said meeting was held pursuant to said notice where the following persons were duly elected by ballot to the office of Trustees, ___ Henry Cook, William Boughton, Beriah S. Redfield, Arza Lewis, Sylvenus Cook, David Janes, Hiram Smith, Samuel S. Lacy, and David Benton, Also that the name by which the said Trustees and their successors in office shall from hereafter be called & known shall be the First Presbyterian Society of Homer Calhoun County State of Michigan.
