To all to whom these presents shall come greeting, know ye that we William N Lyster clergyman and presiding officer of Homer and Anthony Doolittle and Dwight Nims of Homer were chosen associates according to the act hereinafter mentioned. Do hereby certify that at a meeting of citizens of Homer possessing attachment to the Protestant Episcopal Church held at Homer aforesaid on the twenty fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty according to notice given ten days previous for the purpose of incorporating thereunto, under and by virtue of an act to amend Chapter first ____ tenth part first of Review. Statutes Entitled of Religious Societies Approved April 11th 1839 – that Anthony Doolittle and Dwight Nims were duly elected Wardens & Andrew Dorrey, Samuel _____, A.J. Ch__tney, Hiram L_____, Henry D_______, Timothy Hamlin and E. Thornton were duly elected ________ of such church or congregation according to the said act and that the name or title by which said church or congregation shall and may be known is law shall be “Christ Church Homer.
Given under our hands & seals this twenty fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty.
