First Presbyterian Church
Marshall
At a meeting of the members of the first Presbyterian Church for the purpose of organizing as a religious Society & choosing Trustees held at the School House in the Village of Marshall on the 8th day of Dec. 1835 pursuant to notice given according to the provisions of the Statute in such cases made and provided John D. Pierce & Stephen Kimball were appointed Inspectors of Election whereupon the following persons to wit. Stephen Kimball, Freeman Hotchkiss, Luther W. Hart, Frederick A. Kingsbury, Melancthon J. Bugg, & Stephen W. Legget, were chosen Trustees to be known under the name and title of the “Trustees of the first Presbyterian Church in Marshall.

On this 14th day of December AD 1835 personally came before me John D. Pierce one of the above mentioned Inspectors of Election and acknowledged the above certificate to have been duly signed and executed by the above named Inspectors.
