Description
Digitized copy of a cassette tape recording of the dedication ceremony for Stuart's Landing in Marshall, Michigan. The park is located on Homer Road, opposite Hudson Street and Oakridge Cemetery.
The dedication took place on August 25, 1991. The park was a gift to the city in memory of Alfred P. Stuart, from his wife Frances and children Peter, Mark, Amy, and Deborah. The park was developed using funds from the Marshall Civic Foundation, the Cronin Foundation, the Marshall Rotary Foundation, and private donors. It was designed by Geoff Moffat.

Information was gathered from an article in the August 26, 1991 edition of the Marshall Chronicle, titled "Stuart's Landing dedicated at Mill Pond" and written by James Moses.
The cassette tape was generously loaned to Marshall District Library by Mark Stuart, for purposes of digitization and inclusion in the MDL Archive.
